How to Make Valorant Account? – Step By Step Guide

March 20, 2023March 20, 2023 by Doris Cabrera

If you’re looking to jump into the fast-paced world of Valorant, the first step is to create an account.

Creating a Valorant account is a simple process that requires just a few steps.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of making a Valorant account, including signing up for a Riot Games account, verifying your email, and downloading the game client.

So, whether you’re a seasoned gamer or a newbie to the world of online gaming, follow these easy steps to create your very own Valorant account and start playing today.

Setting Up Valorant Account

How To Create A VALORANT Account

To download and play Valorant, you must first establish an account in the Riot client. On the official Valorant website, you can sign up for a free account.

  • Open your browser and go to Valorant’s website.
  • Press the Play Free button located in the middle of the page.
  • A popup will appear asking you to create an account or log in. Press the Make One button on the left.
  • Enter the email you want to create the account with on the new page and hit Enter.
  • Now, add your birthdate and Hit Enter.
  • Create a username on the next page that you can use to sign to all the Riot games.
  • Create a password following the guidelines shown on the page. Re-enter your password on the Confirm Password box at the bottom and hit Enter.
  • After logging in, the website will redirect you to the first page you visited. You can press the Download button and get the installation file for your system.

You can now use your account to play Valorant after downloading it and signing in to the client.

Knowing My Valorant ID

The Riot client inserts a four-digit number called a tagline behind your username to make it unique once you create your Valorant ID.

You must provide your username as well as the numbers so that people can add you as a friend. After all, Valorant is most enjoyable when played with friends.

  1. Launch Valorant and wait until you get to the home screen.
  2. Go to the Friends tab.
  3. Hover your mouse over your profile, and it will show you your username and the tagline.

It is important to know that you can edit the slogan to your liking. To do so, visit the Valorant website, log in, and then click on your username in the upper right corner.

Now, choose settings. The first option lets you adjust your in-game name and tagline.

You can enter the information you want and then click the Save Changes button.

You can also use the same page to alter your account information, such as your email address and password.

You can also use two-factor authentication and connect to social media accounts like Facebook or Google.

Note: It is important to note that you cannot modify your Riot client login username. As a result, it’s best to think about it carefully and configure it while creating your account.

Account Verification

How to Enable Two Factor Authentication in Valorant

After creating a Valorant account, the Riot client will send a verification email to the email address associated with your account.

To verify your account, simply follow the link provided in the email.

If you want to change your email address, you can do so by following these steps to add and verify a new email address for your Valorant account.

  1. Go to Valorant’s official website.
  2. Click on your account name at the top right to open the drop-down menu.
  3. Select settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Personal Information section.
  5. Enter a new email address in the box with your hidden previous email.
  6. Hit the Save and Verify button underneath your birth date.
  7. Now, open your email and find the email from the Riot Client.
  8. Follow the link within to verify your new address.

Recover Account

If you’ve lost access to your Valorant account, there are several steps you can take to recover it.

First, try resetting your password by clicking “Forgot Password” on the login screen and following the instructions.

If you’re unable to reset your password or suspect that your account has been compromised, contact Valorant support and provide as much information as possible to verify your identity.

They may ask for personal information and proof of ownership to help you recover your account.

To prevent future issues, use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication.

Avoid sharing your login information and watch out for phishing scams that may attempt to steal your account information.

Check Level on Valorant

Valorant features a player level that indicates how far you have progressed in the game. By default, your player card displays the level. But, if you cannot see it or desire to disable it, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Valorant.
  2. Click the Collection tab located next to the Play button.
  3. Now, in the Collection menu, locate and choose the Player Card area.
  4. Choose the Level boundaries.
  5. Uncheck the Show my account level on my player option if you wish to hide your player level and vice versa.

Delete Account

How To Delete Valorant Account

If you no longer want to use your Valorant account, you have the option to delete it. However, you must first log in to the account to prove that it belongs to you.

  1. Go to the Riot support website for account deletion and log in using the credentials of the account you wish to delete.
  2. Select Account Management, Data Requests, or Deletion from the drop-down menu on the box.
  3. Once you get to a form, you can scroll down to find the Please select your inquiry box. Select Account Deletion.
  4. Under the option, you can read what deleting your account means on the small box.
  5. Then, click on the Start deletion process button so that your account will be in the queue for deletion.

Note: You will have 30 days grace period where you can cancel your request to cancel your deletion process if you change your mind. If you do not cancel the process, your account will delete in 30 days

FAQs

Riot ID

Is Riot ID the Same as Username?

No, Riot ID and username are not the same things. Your Riot ID is a unique identifier that consists of your username followed by a four-digit number, such as “Example#1234”.

This ID is used to add friends and communicate with other players in various Riot Games, including Valorant.

Your username, on the other hand, is the name that appears on your account and can be customized to your preference.

While your Riot ID includes your username, the two terms are not interchangeable.

Do You Have to Pay for A Riot Account?

No, you do not have to pay for a Riot account. It is free to create a Riot Games account, which can be used to play various games developed by Riot, including Valorant.

However, some games may offer in-game purchases or require a subscription fee to access certain features or content.

But the act of creating a Riot account itself is completely free of charge.

How Many Riot Points Are 50 Dollars?

The amount of Riot Points you can get for $50 depends on the region you are in and the exchange rate. In North America, for example, $50 will get you 5,500 Riot Points.

However, the conversion rate may vary in other regions. It’s always a good idea to check the Riot Games website or the in-game store for the most up-to-date pricing information for Riot Points in your region.

Can Riot Ban You for Buying Accounts?

Yes, Riot Games can ban you for buying accounts. Buying or selling accounts is against the terms of service for Riot Games, as it violates their policies on account sharing and security.

If a player is caught buying or selling an account, Riot may take action by suspending or permanently banning the account.

This is because buying or selling accounts can disrupt the balance and fairness of the game, as well as compromise the security and privacy of the original account owner.

It’s always best to create your own account and play the game fairly and honestly to avoid any potential penalties or consequences from Riot.
